Our Story

We met the modern way — with a swipe and a spark — but from the first date in Brooklyn Heights, it felt like more. After an easy, late-summer evening of flowing conversation, I called my friends and said, “I think I just met my husband.” (Spoiler: I was right.)

We connected quickly over our shared love of wellness and movement — David’s an Ironman and marathon runner; I teach yoga and sneak in classes whenever I can. Our early dates were full of adventure, including a memorable kayaking trip that left us laughing (and slightly off-course).

These days, our simple routines mean the most: yoga classes, making dinner together (David cooks, I taste), and long walks through Brooklyn with our dog, Roger — always with a matcha in hand. In the summer, we escape to the North Fork, where David’s family home in Greenport sits just across the Sound from my parents + where I grew up in Connecticut — maybe a coincidence? We think it’s fate.

On the morning of February 21st, during one of our dog walks to Dumbo, David proposed by Jane’s Carousel. Roger got his own cookie proposal, of course. Now we’re getting ready to celebrate with our favorite people — and begin the next chapter!
